However, life goe's on. Check out on: http://aftertank.blogspot.com

Kuffi leaves No Name

Bad news for the Band. Last Friday before starting to rehearse, Kuffi brought up that he took the decision to leave No Name.
I am sure you can imagine how we felt and that we tried to bring him round. At the end, we agreed with his arguments, knowing that we will loose a Band member but not a friend.
We now are checking out what we can do best out of this situation and several meetings are already organised.

Still left to say that, however the circumstances are, we will play the gig at 24 hours Handball in Dudelange, Centre Sportif René Hartmann on Saturday, 27th November 2010. It was never Kuffi's intention to cancel this concert and we all are grateful for this.
So, come to see the last concert with Kuffi and say good bye.

Thank you!

As promised I have a few new pictures to share with you. More will follow on the No Name home page: www.noname.lu

Regarding the last 3 concerts, No Name has to thank the support from all the people coming to the shows and all the ones around No Name making this possible.
Many special thanks are going to our families which we did not see much the last few days.

For us it was a great experience and the result of this mini tour is that the 3 new songs are now ready for live events and that some people see that we are still existing ;o)
And now, I will take a little break...

We now are going to finish the outstanding songs and will be in the studios in autumn. A new CD will be produced and you will find more infos here and on our home page.

Again thank you all and enjoy the pictures.

No Name 3 of 3: Rock the balcony

This was, in respect of all the concerts we ever played, one of the most unconventional stages I've ever seen.
A balcony at the back of a pub called "Little Woodstock", transformed into a concert stage. (Notice: Should not really be used for stagediving)

A campfire, cool people having their fun, lots of really good Heavy Bands and than... No Name!

To be honest we were a bit anxious seing the Bands performimg before us, but the we quickly felt the relax  atmosphere as you can see on the below picture of Kuffi, while his best performance that day ;o)

Thanks to all the organisers sound technicians and staff whoe really did a goo job during this event.
We will stay in contact, and might come back with a little surprise ;o)

Tomorrow I will blog a summary with a lot of pics and thoughts over the last week end.
Thank you all for having participated.

No Name 2 of 3: 10°C and frozen hands

Cold! It was cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey. 10°C, so that needed a lot of beers to get the warmth back into our bodies, but so far that's not one of the most difficult problems for us I think ;)

However, @ Fête de la Musique we had some really good moments and our concert was just putting the cherry on the cake for us. Lots of people and a good ambience made this event a very special one for us, even if we just had 40 min to perform.

Thank you all, for coming and supporting.

I now have to stop, because I still do have some things for tonights show @ Little Woodstock in Ernzen.

C U there,
Chris

No Name 1of 3: Paradise Bar at a glance

So now, the first Gig has been performed and it left a deeply positive impression.
We couldn't choose a better place to start this "Mini Concert Tour" and I think it will not be the last time playing in Paradiso (ooops sorry Andy) Paradise Bar in Belvaux.

We started the Concert  right after this enormeous thrilling (lol) England vs Algeria World Championship Match and the pub was well crowded. We had a very warm Welcome and felt well from the first second on.
After 1.5 hours both sides where happy enough and we finished this first Gig, which was the longest of the this week-end, taking some beers with the

Further I'd like send from this place many thanks to Vanessa and Andy, owners of the Paradise Bar. They have been extremely helpfull, nice and straight-forward. After 22 years of concert experience I am able to say that this is not the norm and I am happy to see that some people still have a heart for musicians (Oh God, wasn't this last part a bit too soupy? However, it's the truth)

So, all you Rockers out there! Need a cool location for your next gig? Well that's the place to choose.

Tonight, we're performing in Dudelange @ Fête de la Musique (Why Not Stage) and we will be happy to Welcome you at 23:00 CET. Be frequent.

See you then,
Chris

It's getting closer and closer to the next weekend and a big challange is occuring for No Name.
3 straight concerts. We never had even two straight ones. However, this smells like hilarious fun and long nights! No Name is proven in being a steady Band, but this weekend, we will face the limits. Come hell or high water.

Here the dates:

18th June 2010: Brasserie Paradise, Belvaux (Free entrance / start: 22:30 CET)

19th June 2010: Fête de la Musique, Dudelange (Free entrance / start 23:00 CET)
20th June 2010: Little Woodstock, Ernzen (Free entrance / start 18:00 CET)

The whole Band is looking forward to these events and hopes that you will make it at least to one of the shows.

The biggest set will be performed on the 18th. @ Paradise in Belvaux. We will play for at least 1.5 hours.
