Yes, we can!

It is done. Obama has been elected. No Name, bass and drum section, finished the last song yesterday. The last few days have been very exciting. Not only for the most Americans (and Europeans) but also for us. Yves is fully back again, our recording studio is finally re-set up and Mulles and I managed it to finalise the last song for our 20 Candles CD. Now, it is not in our hands anymore and we reach the wand to Yves who is recording from Friday on.
Let me take this occasion to say many thanks to Alex who was spending his time on many recordings taking longer than they should. Reason: Creativity flashes on Mulles' and my side during the recordings. It was not always easy but he never lost the plot or his nerves. Further I have to say that the work together with Mulles was very refreshing. He was able to combine between learning and imposing. This composition really made it a great pleasure for us all to go ahead into new musical regions.

PC's, Motherboards and other issues

Oh dear, after Alex experience regarding all possible issues a brand new PC could snatch, he managed it to unbend the situation. All of us sent a quick prayer to the god of Vista, old Billy, that the recordings we saved the last few months can be re-used. Well, I think it helped because actually no data went lost and finally we are in the position to finish the drum and bass section this week. The nextone to take on the burden of recording will than be Kuffi, No Name's Bard.
Hopefully the neighborhood is not too sensible (just a joke... I think ;-)

However, I'll keep you posted.

Concert confirmed

Hey Ho,

After the bad news about Yves' "disease", now some better news.
We finally made it to schedule our 20 candles anniversary concert to:

14th March 2009

This means that the whole tour (!) will start in March.
Furthermore dates will be confirmed soon.

Regarding the 20 Candles album we experienced, of course, a slight delay as well. But, even if this sounds quite optimistic, I am sure we will get it finished until the 14th.

20 Candles concert 29-Nov-08 POSTPONED

Hi Folks,

Some sad news are to be told these days.

A really serious illness befell our guitarist Yves Di Prospero.

No further comments will be given on this place about what it concerns but No Name has to postpone the 20 years celebration concert in Dudelange planed for the 29th November 2008.

We will have to work this out and look for a new date next week. As soon that it's confirmed you will see this here and on our official home page: http://www.noname.lu/

So please join me to wish Yves a good recovery so that we can return to the fun of music again soon.

Recording Session Prt.2

Hello,

Good news so far. Mulles and I have been able to finish three songs in one recording session.
From now on we are proud to carry the name "The Speedy Gonzales Rhythm Section"...
Indeed we have been really surprised about it ourselves. Other sessions will follow and we hardly try to maintain this speed in order that you folks will see a new disc by November. Fingers crossed. Cheers, Chris ;o)

Recording Session prt.1

Hi Folks...

Well, well, well...the hard work for our new release is going on. Last Wednesday we started with the first recording session and we invited a good friend named Jonathan Thilly to support us during one song, in a solo section.

Jonathan went on time that day and was very motivated. He started with some warm-up exercises meanwhile Lex prepared the recording stuff and made some soundchecks. After a few minutes he was ready to start the recording. Jonathan is a very talented man a played some pieces he felt very comfortable with.

So, we finished the recording very quick and we were very proud about the end result...Thank you Jonathan!

Hi Ho Folks,

On Friday the 25th we'll have the last rehearsal before our small and humble summer break. So for me, the last chance for another two weeks to bring up some updates. Let me try and find out what I can post after this Friday. However, I will be heavily armed with everything which can shoot pictures, movies and pigeons down the roof. (Uh, maybe the last "tool" I'll leave at home... for the cats ;-))

So, just have a look latest the 26th in the evening.
